Dune will forever be one of my favorite sci-fi books.
I remember randomly picking up the book from the library in 3rd grade advanced placement classes. It had a strange musty smell I couldn’t put my finger on.. I imagined it was what Dune would smell like and it gave my reading more atmosphere. Fitting because in retrospect I realize the smell was a cat from the previous renter having pissed on it. Stillsuits reclaiming the lost water from sweat and urine would likely smell the same.
